26 doctors specialized in anesthesia and intensive care have participated in the course on critical patient ultrasonography, which took place on June 22, 2024, In the Oncological Institute.

This special event was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, the WHO Office of the Republic of Moldova, the Society of Anesthesiology and Reanimatology, the course being taught by the group of teachers and doctors from the Emergency Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases "C.C. Iliescu"  Bucharest.

The aim of the course was to train the participants and share the necessary experience in the use of ultrasound (USG) in the operating room, emergency department, intensive care unit and other clinical contexts. USG is a non-invasive, fast and real-time technique whose role in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of critically ill patients is constantly increasing.

Attributed to it indisputably a positive impact on the quality of the medical act in the intensive care units, the USG has become the object of European training programs for doctors in the specialties of anesthesia and intensive care, emergency medicine and surgery, the course meeting the needs of modernization and improvement of critical care standards in the Republic of Moldova.

The training series is part of the planned activities within the "EU4Moldova: for a sustainable health system" Project.
